Pippi the rhino and her Ovis Aries family

My dear Readers,

Do you remember the story of Pippi? Pippi Longstocking, the nuclear weapon, the armoured tank, the indestructible tour de force, who arrived at our bomas in an explosive prelude to a Shakespearean tragedy? The orphaned rhino from Lake Chivero. Is that shaking your lower branches and reminding you of this little character?

Well, Pippi is still with us. As is Mathilda the sheep and her newborn lamb, named Skippy (after the bush kangaroo). Pippi, has turned into a “butter wouldn’t melt” kind of great dane puppy! Enormous. With an appetite to match. But simply the most loveable, calm, endearing and beautiful large animal, that we have all become enchanted with!
